Solving Algebra Mysteries Book 1

I love Hayes books because they are no-nonsense educational books. You won't find any silly little caricatures in them, or any illustrations at all. They are very basic, but they cover everything very thoroughly. I used Hayes Geometry with my older kids and thought it was very good.

This book is meant to be a supplement to algebra studies. There are activities and puzzles that encourage students to solve algebraic equations in order to solve puzzles. Some of the puzzles are set up like mazes. Others require the student to plot equations; when done correctly, a picture appears. Several involve finding an answer, plugging the letter next to the answer into a puzzle and ending up with a famous quotation.

There are no marks in this book because it's all blackline masters and so I just photocopied everything. Two pages are loose, but the book is intact.

This book is paperback, 24 puzzles plus answer key, and printed in 1982. Sorry.....this one's sold.
