Of the four high school level Lit books from A Beka that I've used with my three older kids, this book is probably their favorite.
Not that they loved any of them, because they all preferred individual books over textbooks. But this one includes some great poetry, as well as excerpts of the works of Twain, Thoreau, and Sandburg (among many others), and even a surprise appearance by Elisabeth Elliot, one of my favorite writers. Beautiful art reproductions and photography make it especially attractive inside.
This is the student textbook, not the teacher's edition. It's softbound, 434 pages, printed in 1997 and in good shape (no writing inside). Sorry....this one's sold.
